METROPOLIS PLANET - 14MAR1974 - DAVID DEJARNETT FUNERAL RITES HELD TUESDAY
David DeJarnett, 83, of 900 Catherine St., died Saturday at Massac Memorial 
Hospital.
Surviving are 5 sons, Arnold DeJarnett of Metropolis; Raymond DeJarnett of 
Carbondale; Omer DeJarnett of Godfrey; Lindell DeJarnett of Marietta, GA; & 
Gene DeJarnett of Stone Mountain, GA; 2 daughters, Elva DeJarnett & Evelyn 
DeJarnett, both of Metropolis; 11 grandchildren; & 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Ray Porter & the Rev. Paul 
Shearouse at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church.  Burial was 
in the Mt. Sterling Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Earl Marlman, Henry Wemhoener, Spence Kidd, Edward J. Hinners, 
Louis Fitch, & Clovis Burnham.  Mrs. Wayne Stevers was the organist.
Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
