Died at his residence in Pulaski County on the 16th 
Inst. Capt. J. W. Rigby, aged 52 years.

The Captain was one of the oldest citizens of the 
county and was for several years one of the county
officers.  He served in the Mexican war and was for
several years a captain in the 31st Ills. Vol., and
served for a long time on the staff of Gen. Logan.
He leaves a family to mourn his loss.
