HERALD Henry H. Hendrickson, for more than a quarter of a century a resident of Crystal Lake, died Sunday at the age of 75 in Sherman Hospital (Elgin, Kane Co.) following a lingering illiness. A native of Norway, he was born Nov.5, 1877, comming to this country as a child. He was taught the printer's trade and was enployed in printing shops in Chicago, later operating his own shop there. He disliked living in the big city, and selected Crystal Lake as his home, commuting to his work in Chicago. After disposing of his business in that city, he solicited printing for other shops, and in recent years was employed in print shops in Woodstock. In recent months, ill health prevented him from working at his trade. Two daughters and a sister survive. They are: Mrs. Grace Ann Henning of Woodstock and Mrs. Marifern Rosell(e) of Orange, Tex.; the sister, Mrs. Anna Brandenburg of Wausau, Wisc. He is also survived by six grandchildren, other relatives and a very wide circle of friends including Miss Grace Baird of Crystal Lake. "Hank," as he was familiarly known, became active in the civic and social life of the community upon moving here. He was a member of the Crystal Lake Community Club, the Crystal Lake Country Club, the Woodstock Country Club and other organizations, including the Masonic lodge. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Querhammer Funeral Home with the Masonic lodge of his city in charge. Cremation will follow at Acacia Park cemetery with final interment at Merrill, Wisconsin. Additional Comments: His wife Vina Hendrickson nee Hathaway, who preceded Henry in death, is also buried in Merrill, Wisconsin, her place of birth, Mason County, Michigan. Vina was born: 1883 and died 1951. She and Henry are buried near Vina's parents Emma J. Hathaway nee Merrill 1847-1910, and Giles B. Hathaway 1847- 1916, Civil War vet. 1861-1865, Michigan. They all rest at the Merrill Cemetery, Memorial Park and Mausoleum of Eternal Rest in Merrill, Lincoln County, Wisconsin.
