Although not in the best health, he continued active until he suffered a paralytic stroke, which soon resulted in death. Mr. Robinson was born in Schenectady county, N.Y., March 26, 1820. In 1848 he was married to Miss Elizabeth McMullen, who survives him. They came to Illinois in 1854, and settled on the farm, which continued to be his home until his death. Deceased was an industrious and upright citizen, highly respected by the community in which he lived. In early life he united with the Presbyterian church, in which faith he died. Besides his wife he leaves four children, two others having died in earlier years. Those living are: A.J. Robinson, of Clark, Neb.; H.R. Robinson, who lives near Barreville: Hester A., wife of V.C. Goodwin, of Elgin, and Libbie May, wife of J. Hunter, who lived at the old home to care for her parents in their declining years. Funeral services were held at the residence on Sunday at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. W. H. Locke, of the Nunda M. E. church. The remains were interred in McMillan's cemetery.
