A number of events, in which popular and widely known young people will figure, are already announced. On Wednesday, Sept. 17, in Normal, occurs the marriage of Mr. Gustav Menzendorff and Miss Minnie D. Cochran. Both have been teachers of music in the Lincoln, Neb., university, and previous to that were well known here as musicians of a high order of merit. The young lady is the daughter of the late Rev. S. D. Cochran and wife, of Normal. On Sept. 10 Mr. T. D. Smith and Miss Anna Beatty were married. Miss Beatty is a daughter of Mr. John Beatty, a prominent merchant of Bloomington. On Sept. 10, in Wellington, Kan., Mr. W. S. Rowell, of Danvers, son of Mr. C. C. Rowell, married Miss Minnie L. Denton, of Wellington.
