OLDEST INHABITANT DIES. --

Bloomington, Ill., Aug. 29. -- Francis Anthony, the oldest inhabitant in 
Illinois, died this morning after a two weeks' illiness with heart failure. He 
was born May 8, 1800, in Ireland. He emigrated to Canada in 1820, and was a 
captain in the Canadian army during the French rebellion in 1837. For 30 years 
he had been a resident of Bloomington township, and his vitality was remarkable.
