Irena Goin

LeRoy - Irena F. Goin, 91, a resident of Bloomington Nursing and 
Rehabilitation Ceneter for 10 years, formerly of LeRoy, died at 10:20 a.m. 
yesterday (May 11, 1990) at St. Joseph Medical Center.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Calver-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, 
LeRoy; the Rev. Jeff Busby officiating.  Burial will be in Gilmore Cemetery, 
LeRoy.

Visitation will be an hour before the service Monday, at the funeral home.

She was born July 13, 1898, in LeRoy, a daughter of Thomas and Flora Belle 
Ferroll Land.  She married Walter Orvile Goin on Sept. 11, 1915 in Kirksville, 
MO.  He died July 10, 1963.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-
nephews, including Ann Niestrath, RR3, Bloomington, and Wayne Trotter, 303 
Gregory St., Normal, both of whom she reared.

Four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.  She was the last member of 
her immediate family.

Memorials may be made to the Irena Goin Memorial Fund in care of Marine 
American State Bank, Bloomington.

Additional Comments:
Irena and Walter Orville Goin had no children.  Irena's siblings were Ralph 
L., Flossie B., Willis M., and Claude T. Land.
