Mercer County Court House Clerk's Office, Aledo, Mercer County, Illinois
The Marriage Certificate states:  "THIS CERTIFIES THAT Mr. Peter Juhl, of Joy, 
State of Illinois AND Mrs. Florence Jacobs, of  Joy, State of Illinois WERE 
UNITED IN Holy Matrimony At Aledo, Illinois, According to the Ordinance of God 
and the Laws of the State of Illinois on the 28th day of October, in the year 
of Our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty - five.  Witnesses: Emil A. 
Anderson and Vern H. Moberg.  County Judge of Mercer County, 
Illinois."  "MATHEW, MATHEW, For this cause shall a man leave father and 
mother, and shall cleave to his wife and they twain shall be one flesh.  What 
therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder." 

Additional Comments:
The marriage announcement was in the Rock Island Argus Newspaper on October 
29, 1935: " Licensed to Wed, Aledo, Peter Juhl, Joy; Mrs. Florence Jacobs, 
Joy" [Copy obtained per microfilm on at the Rock Island Library, Rock Island, 
Rock Island County, IL., 22 Nov 2004
