Obituary of Rebecca Lockyer-Eddington - Montgomery County, Illinois This obit is regarding Mrs. Rebecca (Lockyer) Eddington, the maternal great, great grandmother of Olin Clayton. CARLINVILLE DEMOCRAT Thursday, August 31, 1882 Brighton News Item Mrs. Rebecca Eddington living west of here died on the 26th. The following is the obit of Charles H. Eddington, the maternal great, great grandfather of Olin Clayton. "CARLINVILLE DEMOCRAT" January 31, 1900 C.H.Eddington Dead Charles H. Eddington, living a few miles northwest of Woodburn, was found dead in his barn last Friday. He had gone there to do some chores and not returned, a search was made with the above result. The doctor stated his death was caused by a paralytic stroke. He settled on the farm on which he died in 1844. He is survived by two daughters and six sons.
