Gottfried Hillman
 
          The death of Mr. Gottfried HILLMAN occurred at the residence of his 
son-in-law, Mr. Richard WEDEKIND, of this city on the 31st day of October 
1895.  The deceased was born in Stavenhagen, Mecklenburg, on the 27th day of 
April, 1825, which made him 70 years, 6 months and 4 days old.  He was married 
to Mary WALTER who still survives him.  From this union there were six 
children born of which three are dead and three still living.  The three 
living are Fred and John HILLMAN and Mrs. Richard WEDEKIND.  The funeral was 
held on Saturday, November 2nd, at 10 o’clock a.m., Rev. GEBHARDT of Harvel 
preaching the funeral sermon.  The remains were laid in their last resting 
place at the Asbury Cemetery.  The INDEPENDENT joins the many friends in 
extending sympathy to the bereaved.
