Obituary of Lulu Luetta Gage-Hulbert - Montgomery County, Illinois This obit regards Olin Clayton's paternal great grandmother, Lulu Luetta (Gage) Hulbert "Hillsboro Journal" May 11, 1960 Lulu L. Hulbert Funeral services for Mrs. Lulu L. Hulbert, widow of the late Warren Hulbert, will be held at the Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Ralph Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Nokomis Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Mrs, Hulbert, who had been in failing health for a number of years, died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Hillsboro Hospital, where she had been a patient for the last month. She was 79 years, 9 months and 2 days. She was born at Nokomis on July 13, 1880, a daughter of William and Mary Melissa (Sides) Gage. She was united in marriage to Warren Hulbert in Nokomis and he preceded her in death on August 20, 1959. Mrs. Hulbert was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nokomis. She is survived by four daughters; Mrs. Leo Clayton, Oconee, Mrs. H.L. Ponder, Lilbourn, Missouri; Mrs. J.W. Helm, Gridley and Mrs. Orval Yordy, Flanagan; three sons, Lloyd, Nokomis; Howard, Battle Creek, Michigan and Everett, Belevue, Michigan; 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
