The deceased was born near Baltimore, MD, February 10th, 1846, and came to Montgomery County when a young man. He was married December 22, 1875 to Miss Camelia Wright, daughter of Elijah and Drucilla Wright, and seven children were born to this union, six of whom survive their parents, namely Emory, Clark, Clarence, Oscar, Scott, and May. The funeral services were held at the Fillmore Lutheran church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Elder A. C. Brown of Coffeen officiating. The remains were laid to rest at Fillmore cemetery. Mr. Nelson lived on a farm five miles south of Fillmore until three years ago when he returned from active work and moved to Fillmore. He had been in very poor health for sometime past and his death was not unexpected. Additional Comments: Tim Casey is a researcher and descendant of Elijah Whitten and Charity Duckett and John Casey and Drucilla Hill. Robert Nelson is a descendant of both.
