STANLEY, 54 were conducted at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon in the Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home. Rev. Elmer D. PALMER, Methodist minister, was the officiate. Burial followed in Nokomis Cemetery. Mr. STANLEY died at 8:15 pm Thursday in the home of his sister, Mrs. Charles BETZOLD, 112 Oak Street, where he made his home. His death came after one day’s illness and was a shock to his family and friends. He suffered a heart attack Thursday morning, his condition growing more critical through the day until he was relieved by death. The deceased was employed at the Farmers Filling Station recently. He spent considerable time during the recent war working as an electrician and radio repairman at shipyards, returning to Nokomis several months ago. He was never married. He was the son of the late Willis and Mary Alice (AGNEW) STANLEY and was born at Waterloo on September 4, 1892. The family moved to the vicinity of Nokomis in 1900, since which time the deceased had made his home here. He united with the Zion Methodist church many years ago. He is survived by a brother, Henry STANLEY, Nokomis, and three sisters, Mrs. Felicia BRUNS, of Ohlman, and Mrs. Sadie BETZOLD and Mrs. Stella ARCHIBALD, Nokomis.
