BESS Dies (My great-grandmother Sarah Elizabeth ELMORE BESS) 88 of
Vandalia, died 4 p.m. Sunday, February 4, at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Harold MATTES, of near Vandalia. She is survived by her
daughters,Mrs.(Eloise) MATTIS, Mrs. Edith CARTER, Mrs. Morna (my
grandmother)HIMES of Vandalia, Mrs. Edna MCFADDEN of Yoncalla, Oregon,
Mrs. Myrtle SIX of Bingham,Ill. and two sons Buell and Niles of
Vandalia,Il. and a sister Mrs. Ella (ELMORE) MATHIS of California.
