Chris was my gg grandfather he was born in Filsum, Leer, NI, DE. His father, 
Jann Heyen Brunken Bruns b. 24 Nov 1819 and his mother, Janna Christophers 
Elling b. 22 Aug 1820 in Lammertsfehn, Leer, NI, DE. Chis sailed out of the 
Bremen port to the U.S. on the ship "Oder" arriving 17 May 1875 at the age of 
23yrs.
