Administrators Sale of Land - Caleb W. Traylor - Montgomery County, Illinois Caleb Traylor was the paternal 3rd great grandfather of Olin Clayton of Raymond! This document can be found in the Montgomery County Courthouse in the last Will and Testament of Caleb Traylor, who died January 11, 1863, with his wife Marhta dying April 21, 1856, both are buried with great looking stones, on the RedBall Trail in Coffeen, Il, located on the property of Arthur Meiers, in the old Nichols Cemetery. "MONTGOMERY COUNTY HERALD" June 18, 1869 ADMINISTRATORS SALE OF LAND Notice is hereby given that by virtue of a decree of the County of Montgomery County, made at the March term A.D. 1864, the undersigned administrator of the estate of Caleb W. Traylor deceased, will sell at public auction on the premises about the hour of 1:00 o'clock on SATURDAY THE 9TH DAY OF APRIL NEXT the following described real estate of which Caleb W. Traylor died seized for the purpose of paying the debts against his estate to wit:-The south west quarter of the northeast quarter of section nineteen, in township seven, north of range two west, 40 acres. Also, ten acres in the southwest corner of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of section twenty four, in township seven, north of range three west, two acres, on which is the dwelling house of the said deceased, being in the south half of the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of section thirteen, in township and range last aforesaid a part of the northeast quarter of the south east quarter of section twenty three, in township and range aforesaid, containing twenty acres:- Ten acres in the southeast corner of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of section twenty four, in township and range last aforesaid, one square acre, with the Steam Mill and appurtenances thereon, in the northwest corner of the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of section twenty four, in township and range last aforesaid, & three acres of land in the southeast corner of the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of section thirteen in township and range last aforesaid in Montgomery County, Illinois, which will be on the premises at the late residence of said Caleb W. Traylor deceased, upon a credit of twelve months, the purchaser to give bond and security and a mortgage on the premises sold to secure the payment of the purchase money and the purchaser will receive a deed on the day of sale.
