Davis died at the family home three miles northeast of Alexander, at 11:30 o'clock Thursday night. Decedent was the daughter of Edward and Jane House Conroy and was born in Ohio, March 13, 1859. November 16, 1879 she was united in marriage to Reuben Davis who survives together with the following children, Charles R. Davis, Springfield; Grover C. Davis, William L. Davis, Springfield; Edward Davis, Independence IA; Mrs. W. F. Kumle, Jacksonville; Mrs. A. C. Meyer, Fon Du Lac, Wis.; Miss Nellie L. Davis, at home, and her mother, Mrs. E. V. Conroy, Mason City. She also leaves three sisters and one brother, Mrs. T. L. Wilcox, Clarion, Ia.: Mrs. Cora Fletcher, Mason City; Mrs. Dema C. Dobson, Redfield, SD, and James I. Conroy of Chicago. Mrs. Davis was a member of the M.E. church and was always faithful to its teachings and active in the various phases of church work. Funeral services will be held from the residence near Alexander at 9 o'clock Sunday morning. The remains will be taken overland to Mason City, where services will be held from the M.E. church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon ad internment made."
