Willson Judge of Probate Recorded in Book A of Wills on pages 292-293 A. Willson In the Name of God I Henry Edwards of Morgan County state of Illinois do make, ordain and declare, this instru- ment to be my last Will and Testament, revok- ing all others. After my just debts are paid. Item First. To my Dear beloved Wife Mary Edwards I give and bequeath the use, proffit and benifit of my Whole Estate Real and Personal for the time of her natural Life. As I conceive that I have given to my Eldest Children, I make no further provisions for them at present. Item second. To my son James Jordan, I bequeath a Horse saddle and Bridle worth fifty dollars, also a big Goat, Cow and Calf. Item Third. To my Son Elzy I bequeath a Horse Saddle and Bridle worth fifty Dollars, also a Big Goat, Cow and a Calf. Item fourth. To my Son William I bequeath a Horse saddle and Bridle worth fifty Dollars, also, a big Goat, Cow and Calf. Item fifth To my daughter Malinda Mason I bequeath a Cow and Calf. It is my wish that a certain part of my person- al Estate shall be sold for the use and bene- fit of my children that are not yet of age, for school- ing and other expenses. To my Daughter America Jane, I bequeath one hundred Dollars over and above that which is due the other children, out of the real estate, also one Cow and Calf, bed and bedding. The remaining part of my Estate both real and personal I wish to be equally divided between the Legatees. It is my wish after the decease of my Wife Mary Edwards, my wholeEstate both real and personal shall be sold and equally divided between my heirs. And it is my wish also, that all of my children that are yet under age shall receive a competency to defry the necessary expenses for supp- orting and educating them=provided that my wife Mary Edwards should die before they shall become of age. I constitute my Dearly beloved wife Mary Edwards as one of my Executors. In witness of all and each of the things herein contained I have set my hand and Seal, this seventeenth of July in the year of our Lord and Saviour Eighteen hundred and thirty five. Fitzhugh, William C Stephenson, and William Filson the subscribing witnesses to the within Will, and after being duly sworn depose and say that they were present at the time the within named testator Henry Edwards executed the foregoing Last Will and Testament, and that at the request of the testator, in his presence and in the presence of each other they subscribed their names as witnesses, and that they believed the said Testator at the time of executing the Same to be of sound mind memory and understanding. Sworn to before me this day and year above written. A. Wilson Judge of Probate I do Solemnly Swear that this writing contains the true Last will and testament of the within named Henry Edwards deceased So far as I Know or believe and that I will well and truly administer the Same by paying first the debts and then the legacies mentioned therein as far as his goods & chattels rights & credits will thereunto extend and the Law Charge me. And that I will make a true and perfect Inventory of all such goods and Chattels rights and credits as may come to my hands or Know- ledge belonging to the Estate of the Said deceased, and render a fair and Just account of my Administration when thereunto required by Law to the best of my Knowledge and abilities So help me God.
