I, Jordon McAlister, Administrator of Bartlet McAlister, by leave to Report, the foregoing account as containing a full and correct statement of all the assets that has come to my hands belonging to the Estate of deceased with the demands filed and allowances against said estate, I would further state that I know of no other estate whatsoever belonging to the deceased and that I have reason to believe that there are no other demands against said estate and that I am now ready to pay all the demands of said estate that I have not already paid and to distribute to the legal heirs and distributes of said dec. their respective shares and portions, the heirs and representative of said dec. are: Allen McAlister, Elizabeth, wife of Equiller Snelling, Jane, wife of Thomas Hager, John McAlister, Robert McAlister, Jordon W. McAlister, William McAlister and to the children of George McAlister, Dec., to wit., Henry, Emily Jane, George Thomas and Robert Custer and to the children of Mary Galloway, Dec., to wit: Francis Elizabeth, Martha Ann, Jane Lucilla and Jordon and one other name not now known ., all of which is Respectfully Submitted. STATE OF ILLINOIS, MORGAN COUNTY, COURT OF PROBATE, IN THE MATTER OF Granting Letters of Administration of the Estate of Bartlett McAlister To Mat Stacy, PROBATE JUSTICE IN AND FOR SAID COUNTY; The petition of Jordon W. McAlister [son], Respectfully showeth that Bartlet McAlister is dead, that said deceased departed this life at the County aforesaid on or about the 17th day of December, 1848, without leaving any last Will and Testament to the knowledge of petitioner. That said deceased died possessed of certain personal property in the State of Illinois, the value whereof does not exceed the sum of about Six Hundred Dollars, as your petitioner has been informed and believes that said deceased has left him surviving, Seven children, now living, to wit: Allen A. McAlister, John McAlister, Robert H. McAlister, Jordon W. McAlister, William T. McAlister, Jane Henger, Elizabeth Snelling, also the heirs of George McAlister, late of Morgan County, Decd., and the heirs of Mary Galloway, late of Woodford County, Kentucky, Decd. Who are the only next of kin, that said deceased was at the time of his death, an inhabitant of the County of Morgan, by means whereof, as your petitioner has been informed and believes the ORDERING AND GRANTING Administration of all and singular the goods, chattles and credits, whereof said deceased died possessin in said State, and also the auditing, allowing and final discharging the Accounts thereof, doth belong unto the Court of Probate of said County: Your petitioner therefore prays that you will appoint your petitioner administrator of the said estate, he being one of the children and legal heirs and is duty bound, your petitioner. McAlister, the above named petitoner being duly sworn and examined before Matthew Stacy, Probate Justice of Morgan County, do depose and say that I have heard the foregoing petition read, to which I have subscribed myname and that I know the contents thereof and that the same are of my own nowledge except as to those matters therein stated to be on information or belief and as to the matters I believe the same to be true.
