Murphy, Daniel, b.  18 May 1824, d. 27 Apr 1916, married 10 Jul 1851 in Lovington, IL to  Elizabeth Jane Varner, b. 20 June 1834, d. 19 Jan 1900,they remained residents of Lovington, Moultrie, IL, and both weere buried at Hewitt Cemetery.  Daniel was a boot and shoe maker at Lovington, IL most of his life having settled in Lovington in 1854   Children of the marriage:

Hewitt Cemetery alongside her parents. She married Benjamin Franklin Mallernee, b. 15 Mar 1852, Worthington, Greene, IN., d. 2 Oct. 1882, b. Forest Lawn Cem., Los Angeles, CA.

*Mallernee, John Franklin married 8 Feb 1903 Lusta Mae Smith, b. 20 Nov 1883, Coles Co.,  IL, dau.  William Harrison Smith and Annie F. Hummingbird(?), d. 24 Nov. 1953 (Tombstone in error, says 1954), buried Kellar Cemetery, Lovington, Moultrie, IL.  During WWII 6 of their sons were in military service at the same time and Lusta Mae (Smith) Mallernee was a gold star mother.  The famiily resided most of their live in Lovington, Moultrie, IL except for a few years after the coal mine closed. Children were as follows:
