Within eight years six of his twelve children have died. They all appeared to enjoy robust health, but between the ages of 12 and 16 death came suddenly to each. The fate that greets each child when it reaches the proscribed period had prostrated the parents. A year ago a daughter, while attending the Wild Cat district school, fell over into the aisle and expired. The other afternoon at recess her 12-year-old brother, Newton, dropped on the same spot and also died. The parents are normally healthy, and, while physicians nominally ascribe the deaths to heart failure, they are unable to offer any solution of the mystery.
