STATE OF ILLINOIS, Ogle County, ss:) Office of the Clerk of the County Court.
  The People of the State of Illinois: - To any regular Minister of the Gospel 
authorized to marry by the custom of the Church or Society to which he 
belongs; any Justice of the Supreme Court, Judge, or Justice of the Peace to 
whom these presents shall come, - GREETING: YOU are hereby authorized to 
celebrate and certify within this County, the Marriage of Mr. Elijah Huff & 
Miss Elizabeth Forbes according to Law, the father of said Elizabeth 
consenting to such marriage.
  AND YOU are required by law to make return hereof to this office, with a 
certificate according to the form annexed, within thirty days from the date of 
said Marriage, under a penalty of one hundred dollars.
     WITNESS, JOSEPH SEARS, Clerk of Said Court and seal of said Court 
hereunto affixed at Oregon this 29th day of December in the year of our Lord 
one thousand eight hundred and fifty six.   Joseph Sears, Clerk.

STATE OF ILLINOIS, Ogle County, ss:) I, the subscriber, a Minister of the 
Gospel, hereby certify that I have this day joined in Marriage, Mr. Elijah 
Huff & Miss Elisabeth Forbes according to Law as by the above license 
authorized.  Given under my hand at my residence this first day of January
