Palatine Enterprise [Palatine IL] January 1, 1915
Peoria - "You must have wanted to get married pretty bad," said Judge 
Worthington, eighty-two years old, to John Ray McMullin of Rock Island, 
nineteen years old, when the latter admitted that he had been twice married. 
McMullin pleaded guilty to perjury swearing falsely to his age in obtaining a 
license to marry Clara Bloomquist in this city and was sentenced to serve five 
months in the house of corrections. He married Beulah Bodkin in Rock Island 
and was indicted on the charge of bigamy but escaped on a technicality.
