McMullin pleaded guilty to perjury swearing falsely to his age in obtaining a license to marry Clara Bloomquist in this city and was sentenced to serve five months in the house of corrections. He married Beulah Bodkin in Rock Island and was indicted on the charge of bigamy but escaped on a technicality.
