He had been ill seven years. His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the LaMarch Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles Baker officiating. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Whiteman, Kenny Maple, George Haller, Terry Harrison, Keith Sill and Charles Boswell. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Kuecks Funeral Home, Pekin, and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Mr. Maple was born March 18, 1905, in Mapleton, a son of Charles and Charlet Sill Maple. He married Lottie Snyder on June 5, 1927, in Peoria. She died April 3, 1952. He married Elizabeth King Glass on May 16, 1953, at Carthage. Surviving, besides his wife, are four sons, Robert, of Joliet, Raymond, Ralph and Darrell all of Peoria; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Hallett, of Peoria; four step-children, LaVerne Glass, of Glasford, James Glass, of Pekin, Mrs. Helen Jeanguenaut, of Peoria, and Mrs.Karen Subaitis, of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Saylor, of Cedaredge, Colo.; 24 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. Two brothers also preceded him in death. He was a member of the LaMarsh Baptist Church. Mr. Maple had worked for Keystone Consolidated Industries for 32 years until his retirement in 1965.
