Died on the hospital boat near Cape Girardeau, Mo., June 25th, 1863, Serg’t. George
L. Lucas, a member of Co. I, 77th Reg’t. Ill. Vols., aged 42 years;  was a Ruling
Elder in the Presbyterian church of Elmwood, Ill... A widow, and two sons are left
to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father...
