Maple, 43, of 107 Park ave., Norwood Park, a life long Peorian, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in Proctor hospital shortly after being admitted. She collapsed at the Eagles lodge rooms while playing shuffleboard. Death was caused apparently by a heart attack, according to Coroner Chauncey Wood. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Wilton mortuarychapel, with interment in Maple Ridge cemetery, Hollis township. Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday afternoon and evening. Mrs. Maple, who was employed as a sewing machine operator at W.A. Laidlaw Wire Co., was born in Peoria Aprial 18, 1908, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Snyder. She was married to Charles E. Maple here June 5, 1927. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, women's auxiliary. Besides her husband, she is survived by five children, Hazel Virginia, Robert Dean, Raymond Lee, Ralph Edward, and Darrell Gene, all of Peoria; her father; one brother, Luther Snyder of Peoria; three sisters, Miss Mildred Snyder of Chicago, Mrs. Loren Sanders of New Virginia, IA., and Miss Julia Snyder of Deer Cree, Ill., and two grandchildren.
