Starr St. co-owner of the Yale Hotel and the former Arion Hotel until 1955, will be at 1 pm Friday at the Ensley & Sons Funeral Home 1017 Stanley St. Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery. The Rev. Scott Huson, of the Howett Street Christian Church Church will officiate. Friend may call from 4 to 9 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Thrush died at 6:55 am Tuesday at Proctor Hospital where she had been a patient for three days. She had owed and operated the two hotels for 18 years withe husband Frank whom she married in Peoria in 1921. The Yale Hotel located at 332 SW Jefferson Ave while the Arion, which was destroyed by fire in 1959 was at 110 W. 1st Ave. Mrs. Thrush was born July 19, 1891 at Bushnell the daughter of Thomas and Rose Howell Markman. A Member of the ECB Church of Astoria, She also was a Member of the Acacia Chapter OES, and she formerly was a member of the VFW Post 2602 Auxiliary, Peoria Heights. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Thomas Bair, Peoria and Frank Thrush, Peoria: a daughter Mrs. Kathryn Schmidt, Wood River, Ill.; Four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
