Virginia the (22nd) of November 1796. He came to Illinois and settled in Peoria county in 1844 and died in Chenoa on Saturday October 13th 1871. Mr. Abraham was the father of Mrs. W. H. Mann and Mrs. Hester of Chenoa and was extensively known through the central part of the State. For a few years he has resided with his son in-law W. H. Mann in this place and became familiar to all who knew him as a good, kind grandpa. Early in the summer he started (to) visit his children in Kansas and on his return he stopped to visit a daughter at Chenoa where he died. He was a kind (????) a good (father) and a valuable friend. Peace to his ashes."
