He had lived in Peoria 35 years. For 31 years Mr. Wallace had been employed by the International Harvester Co., as head of the shipping department. He retired in 1931. A son of Peter and Mary Donovan Wallace, he was born at Ashkum Feb. 28, 1872, and married Elizabeth Kickler in Pekin Apr. 17, 1918. Mr. Wallace was a member of the Knights of Pythias at Pekin. Surviving are his wife; three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Merkle, Claypool, Miss Carrie Wallace of Chicago, and Mrs. Anna Merkle of Danforth, and one brother [Thomas or John Henry "Harry"]. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cumerford-Endsley memorial home with the Rev. F. D. Menze of Hale Memorial Methodist church officiating. Interment will be in Lake View cemetary, Pekin.
