Submitted by Mike Jones. May 21, 1903 -- Mrs. George Chorpening and children visited at Grandpa Logans Sunday. April 2, 1915, #14 -- Miss Cora Corpenny [Chorpening] of Oakdale came Sunday for a visit with her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolf [Reuben] Logan. July 7, 1916, #27 -- Mesdames Wm. Williamson and George Corpenny [Chorpening] returned to their home in Oakdale Monday morning, being called here by the serious illness of their father, Ruben Logan. Mr. Logan has been very ill for the past 4 weeks, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Will Marlow living east of this city. March 7, 1919, #10 -- Mrs. William Brayfield and brother James B. Logan spent Sunday and Monday near Oakdale where they attended the funeral of their brother in law George Corpening who departed this life Saturday afternoon. Mr. Corpening was 67 years of age and was sick but a short time with the flu but had been in declining health for several years.
