"Bob" Logan. Submitted by Mike Jones. February 25, 1904 -- Rosea Florence Redfern married Valentine McClurken June 13, 1903. November 5, 1909, #45, South White Walnut -- Miss Pearl Redfern of Pinckneyville visited a few days last week at her uncle, F.A. Hester. July 21, 1911, #29 -- Miss Pearl Redfern, Verna Logan, Daisy Bower and Mabel Cunningham enjoyed an automobile trip in the Skelly auto to Du Quoin Saturday night. September 6, 1912, #36 -- Miss Myrtle Reidelberger of Nashville and Laura Brown of Du Bois were Sunday and Monday guests of Miss Pearl Redfern. May 2, 1913 -- The appearance of A.S. Redfern cottage on Water and Grant street has lately been improved by the erection of a new fence. May 16, 1913, #17, White Walnut -- Misses Ida Bishof, Mabel Cunningham, and Pearl Redfern and Harry Miller of Pinckneyville spent Sunday afternoon here and attended church at Cross Sunday night. September 19, 1913, #38 -- Harry Miller and Pearl Redfern married. December 25, 1914, #52 -- Mrs. Mary Redfern brought here for burial Sunday -- Mary Reidelberger was born in Monroe County, Illinois, March 18, 1839 and died at New Athens, Illinois, December 17, 1914, age 75 years 8 months and 29 days. Miss Reidelberger was married to John Volmer in 1857. To this union three children were born, one of whom, Willard Volmer of Tamaroa survives. In 1866 she was married to James Redfern and to this union eight children were born, three of whom survive their mother, Mrs. L.S. Sterling and Mrs. Henry Kellerman of New Athens and Mrs. Frank Opp of Pontiac, Illinois. Mrs. Redfern united with the First M.E. Church at Pinckneyville August 18, 1889 under the pastorage of Rev. J.W. Franklin and continued her membership with the same until her death. The remains were brought to this city Sunday morning and funeral services were held at the Methodist Church conducted by Rev. G.M. Webber of Freeburg assisted by Rev. J.Y.
