Submitted by Mike Jones. Obituary Mrs. Cora Logan Mrs. Cora Logan, daughter of James F. Gregory and Jane McClury was born near Pinckneyville, Ill., March 30, 1873 and passed away at her home, Jan. 8, 1940 at the age of 66 years, 9 months and 8 days. In the year of 1894, April 9th she was married to Enoch F. Logan. To this union one daughter was born, Mrs. Naomi Bass, who resides in Pinckneyville, Ill., she also helped rear three step children, Mrs. Rosa Taylor of Tamaroa, Mrs. Carrie Reidelberer [sic] and John A. Logan of Pinckneyville. Mr. Logan passed away March 13, 1924. Mrs. Logan professed faith in Christ in 1924 under the ministry of J.B. Hall, and united with the Cross Baptist church where she held membership at the time of her death. She was married again to A.J. Logan of Pinckneyville, Ill., Oct. 24, 1928. Her health had been failing for some time and she has spoken many times of being ready to go. Besides the above mentioned she leaves her husband and one stepson James Logan, one brother Chas. Gregory of near Pinckneyville, one half brother, Carl Gregory of Forsyth, Ill., four half sisters, Mrs. Florence Carson of Pinckneyville, Mrs. Bertha Markley of Decatur, Ill., Mrs. Evalyn Riead and Mrs. Inez George of Tamaroa, Ill., also her aged step mother, Mrs. Martha Gregory also of Tamaroa. One half brother, Grover C. Gregory passed away Nov. 11, 1918. Funeral services were held Jan. 10, 1940 at the Beaucoup Baptist church at 1:30 conducted by Rev. Zipprodt of McLeansboro, assisted by the pastor Rev.
