Mr. Kunz was born in this city August 7, 1864, and was well thought of by his old friends and acquaintances, having spent his boyhood days here. The remains were brought to our city Tuesday morning and taken to the home of his father, J. M. Kunz, sr. The funeral services were held the same evening at the St. Paul’s German Evangelical church conducted in both German and English, Rev. Grabowski preaching in German and Rev. W. S. D. Smith in English, after which the remains were laid to rest in the I.O.O. F. cemetery. Besides the bereaved widow, he leaves to mourn his demise a daughter, Miss Bonnie, father, J.M. Kunz, step-mother, Mrs. J.M.
