Mrs. Catherine Kunz Died at Du Quoin

Mrs. Catherine Kunz, 88, died at her home in Du Quoin at 6:20 o’clock 
Wednesday evening of heart trouble.  Mrs. Kunz was born in Wittenburg, 
Germany.  She was married in Pinckneyville on July 15, 1871, to Jacob M. Kunz, 
who preceded her in death.  They were for many years residents of this city.  
She is survived by the following children:  Fred Kunz, Mrs. Tillie Spencer, 
Arthur P. Kunz and Herman Kunz of Du Quoin; George Kunz, of St. Paul, Minn.,, 
and Edward Kunz of Pinckneyville.  A brother, David Wildermuth of Conant also 
survives her. 
The body was brought to Pinckneyville Thursday morning and the funeral will be 
held Friday, Rev. M.P. Schroedel officiating.   Perry County Advocate  April 
12,  1934
