MONTICELLO BULLETIN, Friday, July 3, 1914, page 1 BENJAMIN J. BAKER died at his home in Bement, at 5:30 o'clock Wednesday July 1, 1914. About three weeks ago MR. BAKER became ill of the typhoid fever. His wife at the time was lying very low with the same disease, and is still in such a critical condition that she has not been informed of her husband's death. On Saturday last, MR. BAKER suffered three hemorrhages, and on Sunday a fourth. This greatly reduced his strength, and after Monday there was no hope of his recovery. He was born in Lake Fork where he farmed until a few years ago when he moved to Bement. He married MISS LUCY MOORE, daughter of JOSEPH MOORE. They have three children, two boys and a girl, all of them just entering into manhood and womanhood. MR. BAKER was elected supervisor from Bement township at the spring election. He was a good citizen and a kind father. He will be much missed in the community, as well as in his home. --------------------------------------------------------------------- UGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations or persons.
