Decatur Herald & Review, Sunday, Nov. 6, 1955 MRS. LOVEY HALCOM, CERRO GORDO, DIES MRS. LOVEY MAY HALCOM, 60, of Cerro Gordo, died at 8 a.m. yesterday in Decatur and Macon County Hospital. She had been ill for 15 years. MRS. HALCOM was born Dec. 5, 1894, in Weldon, a daughter of MENDER and FANNIE J. GOKEN. She was married to SIMPSON HALCOM Mar. 25, l914 in Decatur. She had lived in Decatur until 1926 when she moved to Cerro Gordo. MRS. HALCOM was a member of the Cerro Gordo Methodist Church. She leaves her husband; three daughters, MRS. LORA MAY KNIGHT, of Bakersfield, Calif., MRS. LOUISE BANNING and MRS. FANNIE MARGARET BLOCK, both of Oreana; two sons, DALE, of Decatur, KENNETH, of Hoopeston; 12 grandchildren; three sisters, MRS. ESTHER KELLERHALS, of Bloomington, MRS. VEDA SPRAGUE, of Clinton, MRS. GRACE MASCUM, (should be MARCUM) of Weldon; two brothers, HENRY GOKEN, of Decatur, and CLARENCE GOKEN, of China Lake, Calif. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Church of the Brethren, Cerro Gordo. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery.
