Obituary of Paul MANNING, Piatt County, Illinois This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Diane Rayburn DELAND; Paul Manning, 68 of DeLand died at 10.30 a.m. Friday, March 28 1986 at home. Funeral services were 1.30 p.m. Monday at the Trigg and Calvert DeLand chapel, the Rev. Robert Stokes officiating. Burial was in the DeLand Cemetery. Masonic services were at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr Manning was born Sept. 24, 1917, in Piatt county, a son of Charles and Jesse Mitchell Manning. Survivors include a daughter; Gay Carr of DeLand, two brothers, Carl Manning of Champaign, and Ross Manning of DeLand; two sisters Annabelle Fisher of DeLand and Jean Tindle of Springfield; and four grandchildren. Mr Manning was the owner and operator of Manning Marathon Oil Co., DeLand. He was a verteran of World War 11 and was a member of the DeLand Masonic Lodge and the DeLand American Legion.
