Decatur Herald & Review, Tuesday, 10Dec1974, page 31 HALCOM SIMPSON HALCOM, 85, of Bakersfield, Calif., formerly of Cerro Gordo, died Sunday in Bakersfield. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. MR. SIMPSON(sic) was born in Nancy, Ky. He was a retired rail car repairman for the Wabash Railroad. He was a member of the Chesterview Baptist Church in Nancy, Ky. He married LOVEY MAY GOKEN. She preceded him in death. He leaves daughters, MRS. LOUISE BANNING and MARGARET BLECH (should be BLOCH), both of Oreana; MRS. LORA MAY KNIGHT of Bakersfield, Calif; son, KENNETH of Hoopeston; sisters, MRS. CORA WEDDLE of Detroit, Mich.; MRS. ERNEST NORFLEET and MRS. GRACE LOVELACE, both of Somerset, Ky.; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grand- children.
