Written: September 7, 1841

To the Judge of the Court of Probate of the county of Pike in Session at 
Pittsfield Term A.D. 1841. I Lettitia Hill, widow of David S. Hill, late of 
the township of 3 South 2 West in said county deceased do hereby make known to 
the court that I decline administering upon the estate of my late husband. 
Given under my hand this seventh day of Sept. A.D. 1841. attest: Benjamin 
Johnston   Lettitia Hill

City Clerk's office found indexed in the Common Law Record book listed under 
2nd Day Aug Term A.D. 1847 Aug. 31st, page 14 #13: In the matter of the 
Petition of James Johns and Oliver Johns. Administration of David S. Hill 
deceased. Petition to sell Real Estate. Ordered that this cause be continued, 
Index to estate papers D.S.H #529
