Ben Saxbury 1900-1985

Hull - Services for Ben W. Saxbury, 85, of Hull, Ill. will 
be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gill-Lummis Funeral Home in Barry, 
Ill. Elder William Phillips will officiate. Burial will be 
in the Shearer Cemetery near New Canton.

Mr. Saxbury died at 8:33 a.m. May 5 at St. Mary hospital in 
Quincy, Ill.

He was born Feb. 11, 1900 in Cincinnati Township, Pike County,
Ill to Francis and Anna Sellers Saxbury. He was married Nov. 
3, 1920, to Alma Blacketter. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Ben Saxbury of Kinderhook,
Ill, Richard Saxbury of Hull, Ill, and Tom of El Dara, Ill.,
three daughters, Ruth and Bonita, both of Tuscon, Ariz., and
Phyllis of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 12 grandchildren; 19 great-
grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. 
Memorials may be made to the family.
