TAKEN FROM THE HENRY NEWS REPUBLIC, HENRY, IL HENNEPIN, DECEMBER 12, 1889 SELSOR MAULFAIR departed this life Friday eve last, at the home of his parents near Cottage Hill. Another victim of that fell disease comsumption. He was a very promising young man, and will be saldly mised by his parents and friends, but the Lord had use for him, and he has gone to his reward. May the Christian’s hope and strength be that of his parents to bare their sad afflictions, is the prayer of the writer. TAKEN FROM THE PUTNAM RECORD, HENNEPIN, IL March 30, 1898 Died and the residendence of his sister Mrs. Peter Clemens in Florid, Illinois on March 24, 1899, JACOB WILLIS, aged 61 years. A brother John from Kenesaw, Nebraska and a nephew Charles Willis of Rock Island were present when this man laid down his burden and slept. Deceased was born in Pennsylvania. Came to Putnam County in 1849 and resided in or near Florid until his death. ................ Funeral was conducted by Reverend Bliss of Lostant and the very large attendance manifested the communities love for the deceased. August 4, 1898 Diea at home in Florid, Thursday evening, July 28, 1898, HENRY C. CLEMENS, aged 65 years, 2 months and 6 days. Deceased was born in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania on May 22, 1823. He was united in marriage with JULIAN ULRICK on November 16, 1852. She preceeded him to the better land a little over a year ago. No long after marriage he united with the Lutheran church of which he remained an ernest and faithful member until death. He moved to Illinois in 1857. 6 children were born to them, 3 sons and 3 daughters, of whom all but 2 sons remain to mourn their loss. September 15, 1898 DEWEY CLEMENS, infant son of MR. AND MRS. E.E. CLEMENS, died September 2, 1898, being 7 weeks and 4 days old. October 20, 1898 After months of patient suffering, HARLEY I. HETRICK died Friday morning, October 14, at 10:00 o’clock. He was a little over 18 years old. February 12, 1902 JOHN HENRY DEININGER was born in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania on January 28, 1827. He died on Februay 7, 1902 at the ripe old age of 75 years and 9 days. he was married to CAROLINE M. ZIMMERMAN of Lebanon County, Pennsylvania in 1850. Eight years after marriage, they came west to Florid, Putnam County, Illinois. To this union 11 chilcren were born of which 7 survive, 2 sons and 5 daughters. The other four - 3 sons and 1 daughter after reaching the age of manhood and womanhood, preceeded their father to the better world. 37 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren mourn the loss of their grandfather. In October of 1900, a golden anniversary of married life was celebrated. All the children and nearly all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren being present. The remains were laid to rest in the Florid cemetery, Monday last at 2:00 PM. September 7, 1904 CURTIS DEININGER ALLEMAN, yougest child of HENRY B. AND AGNES ALLEMAN was born November 21, 1902 and died August 28, 1904 after a brief illness of one week. He leaves besides his parents, 4 sisters and 4 brothers to mourn their loss. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon. Interment was Wednesday morning in the Tonica cemetery. Present from abraod were Adam Deininger, Peter Clemens and wife, Mrs. Deininger and Mrs. C.A. Chance of Florid, Henry Alleman Jr. and H.S.
