Book No. 40 Estate No. 594 Will of Joseph Cassell Died In the name of God, Amen. I, Joseph Cassell of the town of Florid, in the county of Putnam, state of Illinois, at the age of 73 years and being of sound mind and memory do hereby make, published and declare this my last will and testament in the manner following, that is my say: First: I give and bequeath to my daughter, Emma Cassell, lots number 25 and 26, in the village of Florid, in Putnam County, state of Illinois. Second: I give to my wife, Kate Cassell, all the rest residence and remainder of my personal property as estate goods and chattels of what nature or kind so ever. Also, I have the use of all the real estate that I might own at the time of my death. Said real estate consisting of 17 acres on which my dwelling is situated, to have and to hold during her life. Third: If my wife, Kate Cassell, dies before my daughter, Emma Cassell, then the use of the 17 acres of land in which my dwelling is situated, shall revert to my daughter, Emma Cassell and at her death, said to revert to my natural heirs. In witness here of I have here to set my hand in seal this 11th day of March in the year of our Lord, one thousand, eight hundred and ninety. Albert and James Chance subscribing witness to the annexed writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Joseph Cassell, late of said county, deceased. Who have been duly sworn according to law do dispose of say each for himself, that he was present and saw that Joseph Cassell signed said will in his presence and he believes that the said will and testament was of sound mind and memory, of lawful age and under no constraint, when he signed said will. Albert James Chance ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Administrators Notice The Estate of Joseph Cassell, deceased The undersigned having appointed administrator of the will annexed of the estate of Joseph Cassell, deceased, hereby gives notice that he will appear before the county clerk of Putnam at the court house in Hennepin at the August term, on the first Monday in August next. At which time all persons having claims against said estate are notified and requested to attend for the purpose of having the same adjusted. All persons indebted to the said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned. Joseph B. Albert, administrator   Dated this 9th day of June, 1891 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Final Settlement Notice Estate of Joseph Cassell, deceased Notice is hereby given, that the undersigned administrator, of the estate of Joseph Cassell deceased. who appeared before the county clerk of Putnam County, Illinois, at the July term thereof to beholden at the county court in Hennepin, on the first day of July, next Thursday, for the purpose of making final settlement as such administrator of said estate and that he will at the same time, asked for an order of the court discharging him from further action or liability of such administrator and all persons interested can appear and show cause if any, they have why such order should not be granted. Real Estate 10 acres in the North-wear S.E. 1/4 of Sec. 24-32-2 5 acres W. 1/2 W. 1/2 N.E. 1/4 32-2 2 acres Lot - 4 NW. 1/4 -32-32 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Petition of Kate M. Cassell Petition of Kate M. Cassell in the matter of the estate of Joseph Cassell, deceased, by the letters  of the administrator with the will annexed, to the honorable Augustus Cassell, justice of the county court of Putnam County, in the state of Illinois. The petition of the undersigned Kate Cassell, it respectfully represents that Joseph Cassell, late of the county aforesaid, departed this life in Florid, of said county on or about the 4th day of March 1891, leaving a last will and testament and appointing no executor. And this petition further shows that the said Joseph Cassell died ceased and possessed of real estate and personal estate, consisting chiefly of one horse, one cow and calf, household furniture, promissory notes. All of said estate being estate to be worth about $400. The said deceased left surviving, his wife, Kate M. Cassell and Ephriam Cassell, Philip Augustus Cassell, Esther Gardner, Jane Youngdal, Emma Cassell, first children and five grandchildren, sons and daughters of Calvin Cassell, deceased as heirs. The here petitioner being widow of said deceased and believing that the said estate should be immediately administered as well for proper management of the estate. As for the prompt collection of the assets, by virtue of her right, under the statute, she therefore prays that Your Honor will grant letters of adminis- tration with will annexed to Joseph B. Albert in the premises upon his taking oath prescribed by the statute and entering in to pond in such sum with securities as may be approved by Your Honor. Kate M.
