Obituary of Conrad Reinhardt, Randolph County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright Dorothy Schendel Conrad Reinhardt Funeral Held at Sparta, Saturday Man Found Dead in His Home Here Is Survived by 49 Direct Decendants. Funeral services over the remains of Conrad Reinhardt, 76, former coal miner, who was found dead in his room in this city a week ago Wednesday, were conducted at the George F. Elker Funeral Home, at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon by Rev. J. C. Murdoch, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Interment was made in the Caledonia cemetery. Mr. Reinhardt was born at Darmstadt on June 25, 1863 a son of George and Katheryne Reinhardt of Germany. He came to Randolph County as a boy and spent most of his life in the vicinity of Sparta. On August 5, 1884 he was married at Chester to Miss Margaret Bert of Sparta, but she passed away five years ago. He is survived by two sons, Louis and Conrad B. Reinhardt of Kearney, Neb., six daughters, Mrs. Ben Nelson of near Sparta, Mrs. Clara Peach of Woodriver, Mrs. Tillie Schluneger of Newark, O. and Mrs. Christina Clifton, Mrs. Emma Gray and Rose Kryger of Kearney, Neb; four brothers, George of near Sparta, Albert Of Preston, August of Colorado and Dan of Coleridge, Neb., one sister Mollie Meyerott, of Baldwin; 25 grandchildren, 16 great grand- children and a number of nieces and nephews. All of the children except Louis were here for the funeral. Others from out of town who attended were Mr. and Mrs. James Lattimore and Jim Peach of Woodriver; Miss Ella Reinhardt, Alvin Reinhardt, Mrs. Mollie Meyerott and Miss Edna Meyerott of Baldwin; John Kryger and Mrs. C. B. Reinhardt of Kearney, Neb. and Riley, Audra and Louis Peach of Woodriver. Note: Reporter made an error. Louis was in attendance at this funeral. Dorothy J.
