Obituary of Sophia Blendena REINHARDT, Randolph County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 1999 Schendel SOPHIA BLENDENA REINHARDT Sophia Blendena Reinhardt, 91, of Sparta died Friday, October 18 at Sparta Community Hospital. She was a homemaker, a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Sparta, the ladies quilting group at Trinity Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 2698, Royal Neighbors of America at Coulter- ville and WCTU of Sparta. She was born November 21, 1901 near Houston, Illinois to Jacob and Caroline Hammel Henrici. She was married to William Mayo Lambert March 16, 1924 at Grundy Center, Iowa. He preceded her in death in December 1950. She married Walter A. Reinhardt in December of 1938 in Hillsboro, Missouri. He preceded her in death November 24, 1962. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Wanda Mae Lambert, three sisters, Elizabeth Hinnerichs, Emma Laufer, and Clara Reinhardt., a brother John N. Henrici, four half-sisters, Sophia Morrison, Theresa Henderson, Dorothy Bicket, and Anna Bates, and a half-brother John Reinhardt. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Venus of Sparta, a son and daughter-in-law , Jacob W. and Leoma Lambert of Chester, three grandchildren, six step-children, 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Memorial services held October 17 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Sparta with Rev. Marvin Bennett officiating.
