Obituary of David DEAN, Richland County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 1999 Mike Dean From the Olney Mail; David Dean, the son of Alexander and Sarah Dean, was born in Piketon, Ohio,June 25,1869 and passed away at his home in Olney on January 1,1943. On September 27, 1893 he was united in marriage to Della Thompson, who preceded him in death in 1907.To this union five children were born, three of whom preceded him dying in infancy, also one son Jesse, whose death occurred last September. On April 14,1910 he was again united in marriage to Mrs. Emma Lyons who survives him. Besides his wife,he is survived by one son, Ivan Dean of Cisne, Illinois,four grandchildren, one brother, James Dean of Olney and one sister, Mrs Emma Berkheimer of St. Francisville and a host of other relatives and friends. In early manhood he united with the Christian church of St. Francisville later transferring his membership to the Olney church. As long as health permitted he was a faithful and active member, serving as a deacon for many years in this church. Funeral services were held Sunday at Porter-Schaub Funeral Parlor with burial at St. Francisville cemetery. Rev.
