Memorial services for Charles O. Alender, 51 of 913 1/2 4th Avenue, Moline, 
will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Esterdahl Chapel, Moline.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Mr. Alender died Wednesday at Moline Lutheran Hospital.

He retired in 1978 as a roofer for area roofing contractors.

Mr Alender married Marge Clark in 1959.  He married Roberta A. Mahar in 1979 
in Rock Island.

He was a member of the Roofer's Union.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter Donna M. Breitenstein, Moline; a son, 
Charles J. stationed with the navy in the Philippines; a stepdaughter, Kelly 
Mahar, at home;  two grandchildren; a sister, Aline Hinton, Petersburg, 
Virginia; and brothers, Donald E. and Frank, both of Raleigh, North Carolina 
and William L. Jr and Joseph, both of Louisville, Kentucky.
