Coppens, 84, of 841 18th Ave., Moline, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 1992, at Moline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Services are 9:30 a.m. Monday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, where she was a member. Burial is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with a rosary recited by Sacred Heart Altar and Rosary Society at 2; and a public rosary at 6. Memorials may be made to Seton Endowment Fund or the church. Miss Coppens was born Nov. 28, 1907, in Moline, the daughter of Camiel and Julia gryp Coppens. She was employed as a deputy county clerk for 43 years at the Rock Island County Court House, retiring in May 1973. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Alter and Rosary Society, and the Resurrection Choir at church; and was a member of Center for Belgian Culture; Women’s Auxilliary of the Friends Circle Club, Moline; and Pilot Club, Moline. Survivors include a cousin, William Hamerlinck, Orion; and several other cousins.
