Death Claims Mrs. Cross, 69, Of Rock Island

Mrs. Josephine I. Cross, 69, of 928 20th St., Rock Island, died at 7 last 
night in her home.

Friends may call at the Wheelan Funeral Home after 4 tomorrow afternoon. The 
funeral time will be announced later. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial 
Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Cross was born July 22, 1886, in Burlington, Iowa, daughter of the late 
Mr. And Mrs. O. D. Lewis. She attended Burlington schools and was married to 
Guy A. Cross, Oct. 11, 1906, in Burlington.

She came to Rock Island from Burlington in 1920 and was a member of First 
Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Jaeke, Monterey Park, Calif.; two sons, 
Carroll L. Cross, Rock Island, and William D. Cross, Muskegon, Mich.; and two 
brothers, Frank W. Lewis, Burlington, Iowa, and Cloid O. Lewis, Moline.

Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, and four brothers
