James Conners, Long Painter in Plow City, Dies James F. Conners, 70, 820 Twentieth avenue, Moline, a resident in the quad-cities during his entire lifetime, died in the Lutheran hospital yesterday afternoon after an illness of kidney trouble, which had existed for a year. Mr. Conners was well-known in Moline as a painting contractor. He had not been actively at work for some time, however, due to illness, which grew more serious during the last year. He was born on Rock Island arsenal on March 11, 1858. He was married on Sept. 9, 1989, in Moline to Annie Welsh. Mr. Conners was an active member of St. Mary`s Catholic church. Surviving are the widow, one daughter, Mrs. Chris Krayenhagen of Moline, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Place of Chicago and Mrs. Kathyrn Croyden of California, half sister Mrs. Wilson P. Hunt of Moline, and a brother, Owen Conners of East Moline. Funeral services will be held in the Danielson and Furgie funeral home, Moline at 8:30 tomorrow morning and at 9 in St. Mary`s Catholic church. The Rec. J. S. Kelly will officiate. Internment will be in the St. Mary`s cemetery, East Moline. The family requests that flowers be omitted 10:13 8/14/2004
