DeBlieck, 59, of 11 Glenwood Road Coal Valley, died Friday, May 13, at the Veterans Hospital, Iowa City. Services were held today (Wednesday) at 9 a.m. at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Orion, and 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Colona. Burial was in Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Visitation was held Tuesday afternoon and evening at the funeral home where a rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Research Center at Veterans Hospital, Iowa City. DeBlieck was born in Pipestone, Minn. He married the former Shirlee Anderson Sept. 17, 1949 in East Moline. He had been a general foreman at Red Jacket Pump Co., Davenport, for 32 years. He retired in 1982. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a life member of the AmVets, and the Muscatine Eagles. He was an avid camper and fisherman. Survivors include a daughter, Beth Noyd, Viola, a son, Rick DeBlieck of Longwood, Fla., two sisters, Elaine Brown of Coal Valley and Dee Hungerford of Bettendorf, and his father Fred B.
